Keri's Birthday Scat-Cat Fundraiser!

It's my birthday month! And the Scat Cat Sessions needs YOUR HELP to go the distance!

(Literally).

How you can help:

aka — The Ask

If you

a) appreciate my work... and

b) love seeing the enthusiastic faces of freshly sparked jazz aficionados...

I'm hoping you can share your support through a donation to the Scat Cat Session Travel Fund.

Goals

We're seeking to close a gap of 600-1200€ to cover outstanding travel costs for upcoming Scat Cat engagements.

The Good News

Ohio Residency!

I've landed my first state-sponsored artist residency in my native Ohio!

The Ohio Arts Council approved the grant for the Toledo Schools to have me in for some Scat Cat Sessions this August/Sept and January.

FINALLY!! Yippeee!!! I can give back to the communities from whence my artistry was forged!

The (not so good) Other News

Expensive August airfare

The green light has come awfully late in the game, and by now airfare has skyrocketed! Instead of the usual 600 or so Euros, we're looking at 1200€ at best.

It's gonna be tough to get to Ohio in time without a helping hand.

The Really Good News

Arts Embassy's fundraising platform is ready to receive!

My favorite non-profit Arts Organization — Arts Embassy International — has offered to put in place an instant fundraiser platform to collect donations for a Scat Cat Sessions Travel Fund and it's all set to go.

Example travel costs:

The Arts Council grants can get us halfway there, but it takes wings, wheels, and gas to bring Jazz-ma Moses to the mountain to work her Scat-Cat magic ;-)

  • Average plane ticket 800€ / $900

  • One month car rental 1000€ / $1100

  • Average gas per week 65€ / $75

A little goes a long way towards closing that gap.

No amount is too Small

The grant writing and communications efforts have started sprouting up strong shoots of support - but we could use some additional fertilizer for the program to bear sustainable fruit and to truly flourish.

Merci beaucoup for anything you can do to help!
